I would like to introduce you to a very interesting book
“We smell better than we think” by Johannes Frasnelli.
Johannes Frasnelli is a medical doctor, neuroscientist and olfactory researcher.
Born in South Tyrol, he now lives in Canada.
In his book he describes how the sense of smell, the most underestimated of all the senses, shapes our memories and what the loss of the sense of smell predicts about coming diseases of the person concerned. How do smells affect our daily lives and why can we no longer “smell” our partner?
How can we prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s disease with olfactory training and how do fears and depressions change our ability to smell?
I wish you a lot of fun while reading
Kind regards Verena
